Who is accountable if an AI system makes a wrong diagnosis?

Determining ultimate accountability requires examining: whether AI was used as intended, if clinicians had reasonable opportunity to catch errors, whether organizations provided adequate support, and if developers disclosed known limitations. The key challenge: traditional liability frameworks assume human decision-makers, not human-AI collaborations.
